Our family line of Steel

It all started in 1967 when Toon Reijrink started repairing tractors and built a livestock building in a shed at the back of his parents’ house in Haghorst. Father gave him a small amount of start-up capital to buy welding equipment and the foundations for Reijrink Staalconstructie were laid.

International company

50 years on and son Willem is in charge and we have expanded to become an internationally operating company with over 100 fantastic employees. Our steel structures leave our Someren and Esbeek sites for delivery across the globe. We help construct industrial halls, distribution centres, compound feed factories, multi-storey car parks, offices, shops, cinemas, sports centres and regularly also iconic buildings such as Meubelplein Ekkersrijt in Eindhoven.

The first with robots

A lot has changed in those 50 years. We invested in new premises, software, robots and machinery, making us one of the first in the Netherlands to use robotisation in the steel industry. And instead of driving an old Simca 1000 (Reijrink’s very first company car), we now drive around the Netherlands in eight assembly vans, two rigid trucks, two delivery vans, one 90-tonne crane, two 70-tonne cranes, one 40-tonne crane, 30 telescopic booms and 20 scissor lifts.

Europe’s most innovative steelworks

And yet, a lot has stayed the same. We are still that close family company with a huge passion for our profession. A passion that permeates through the company. Although we really enjoy complex structures, we work with the very same passion when creating a functional stair rail or simple canopy. As long as it’s from steel!

We are flexible and we’re always there for our clients. We help you devise the design, we’re flexible and make what at first seemed impossible, possible. And we constantly invest in technology, knowledge and people to ensure that we continue to be an innovative, professional and reliable partner for you. We are even currently constructing Europe’s most innovative steelworks, which we expect to be able to start using in 2020.

The timeline below outlines our company’s history. We hope to be able to add many more fantastic chapters to this!
